Lochmorrow Event

The event was very odd for me. It was small. That was expected, but I really thought that hosting the regional rapier championships would have got us more rapier fighters. We had 8 , but 7 of them were from Lochmorrow and only 6 of us entered the Champions tournament. I expected to see some of the Thieves making the trip down to try to represent the region and win the kingdom position. Or more people from Illiton proper or Shattered Crystal. I ended up the runner up to Baron Max of Shattered Crystal in that tourney who fought very well this day. That earned me a spot in the Kingdom Champions tournament in two weeks at KWAR. I also won the zombie tourney in the morning. Sean came in second in the zombie tourney by the smallest of margins to me. He fought very, very well today and I was very proud of his prowess and composure. All the rapier fighters had a great time including Zach, our newly authorized Lochmorrow fencer.

The armored combat had only 4 fighters. I device a system that would make lots of fighting and make it hard for me to win and both plots worked. Lord Malcom, Lord Tan Po, Hans and I entered and we took turns fighting as humans and zombies. The zombies kept gaining numbers and you got points for each zombie killed. Knight zombies were worth two points. It was a very fun tourney even if it was very small. Lord Malcom won and Hans was selected by the Baron and Baroness of Illiton as the best zombie.

Court was nice. Muriel did a great job heralding it. Hans received a Lady of the Lake. Lochmorrow created an award. The hall looked great and I just realized I left my banners hanging in it.

Feast was tasty as House Adair always does a great job with feast. Jill was a great feast-o-crat even if I do not approve of styrofoam and plastic wear for feast. It is a small but annoying quibble.

A good small event, but I am afraid we lost money again. We shall see how that plays out.
