Wedding
The wedding of Duke Bardolph and [info]stargazer_jq was wonderful. The ceremony was very traditional. She looked radiant in her dress. He impressed us all when he ended his vows with Thus swear I. She made us all laugh when she had to ask the preatcher to repeat that line "to be my lawfully wedded husband" when she was saying her vows.

The weather held off to allow for a perfect outside wedding. The reception was lots of fun. I would call it laid back. It was great to see so many wonderful friends. It is always fun to see people dressed up in mundanes. It was an intersting mix. Lots of old Free Militia as was to be expected. So many SCA peers and nobles that you could not swing a cane without hitting one. And Sir Kaydian was swinging the cane. The teenage children were having a great time too. It also seems that I can only see Alaric and Noelle at weddings not events. It was a wonderful day to celebrate a great occasion.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. It looks like an SCA event! Everybody looked great and it looked like a lovely time. The happy couple looks like they have been touched with a magic wand.

Wonderful shots. I think it's funny that SCA people see each other dressed in garb finery alot but sometimes the mundane stuff looks really cool and for somereason we look cooler in it.

Thanks Ix for sharing these. It was a beautiful wedding shared with great friends. They are a great couple.

It's great to see your "family" at these types of functions outside "the dream". I think everyone cleans up good! :)

Actually that was [info]sgtgwn taking the picture and I was just not ready for it. Sorry. I did not like it either.

It looks like it was a wonderful time. And everybody does clean up nicely--I don't believe I have ever seen Gunther in a suit!

Huh, could have sworn I posted here earlier...

I just wanted to say thanks for the pictures. Everyone looks great and the bride is radiant. Wish I could have been there.

Where was the campground, out of curiosity? The redbud trees were beatiful, too.

It is Camp Wakanda. [info]druminmychest hosts Duct Tape Jamboree each year there. It is a nice place
