I want rough sex.

In water.

Odd? Maybe. But I want it.

Thrust up against the side of a pool, or against a rock in the side of a creek or lake. Hair pulled. Biting. Even short periods of having to hold my breath underwater.

I want it.

Hillary Clinton. Still really a Republican?
Excerpts from TNR: Let Them Eat Arugula

The dying days of the Hillary Clinton campaign have brought the breathtaking spectacle of a candidate lashing out at every element of public life that has nourished her career. The über-wonk has disparaged economists and expertise. The staunch ally of black America has attacked her opponent for lacking support of "working, hard-working Americans, white Americans." People who thought they knew Hillary Clinton have gazed in astonishment: What has she become? The answer is, a conservative populist.

Conservative populism and liberal populism are entirely different things. Liberal populism posits that the rich wield disproportionate influence over the government and push for policies often at odds with most people's interest. Conservative populism, by contrast, dismisses any inference that the rich and the non-rich might have opposing interests as "class warfare." Conservative populism prefers to divide society along social lines, with the elites being intellectuals and other snobs who fancy themselves better than average Americans.

Consider this analysis recently offered by Bill Clinton in Clarksburg, West Virginia: "The great divide in this country is not by race or even income, it's by those who think they are better than everyone else and think they should play by a different set of rules." This is precisely the dynamic that allows multimillionaires like George W. Bush and Bill O'Reilly to present themselves as being on the side of the little guy. A more classic expression of conservative populism cannot be found.

Historically, the conservative populist's social divide ran along racial and ethnic lines. In recent years, overt racism has all but disappeared from mainstream political life, and even racial hot button appeals like the 1988 Willie Horton ad have grown rare. What remains is a residue of nostalgia about small towns--whose residents are said to have stronger values and work harder than other Americans, and who also happen to be overwhelmingly white. In 2004, after John Kerry declared that some entertainers supporting him represented "the heart and soul of America," George W. Bush embarked upon a national tour of small- and mid-sized cities, where he would say, "I believe the heart and soul of America is found in places like Duluth, Minnesota," or other such places.

Likewise, Bill Clinton recently declared, "The people in small towns in rural America, who do the work for America, and represent the backbone and the values of this country, they are the people that are carrying her through in this nomination." The corollary--that strong values and hard work is in shorter supply among ethnically heterogeneous urban residents--is left unstated. Hillary Clinton's statement about "hard-working Americans, white Americans" simply made explicit a theme that conservative populists usually keep implicit.

Ahh... shooting!
Claire Adams shooting for Ed Fox!

Things have been fun and productive, as usual!

Yesterday, my friend Ashley Renee and I shot with Ed Fox.
I really enjoy shooting with Ashley. We have known her for
years and we have only shot together a handful of times, but
we always have a great time on set together. I've included a
picture from the set where Ed had me playing with my hair
which will be going up shortly on my site.

Ed is definately a foot and leg man and I share his
interests! One of the first things I check out on a chick is her butt :)

Today, my Master, Damon Pierce and I shot solo scenes
of me doing some very cool and dirty  things with some
kegel exercises :)

Off to pack!

As usual, life has been crazy and stressful around here. Master had another get very sick, just 3 weeks after losing another of His sisters. She will fine, i think, but spent some time in the hospital, and was in for Mothers Day. This was hard for Masters mother, but i think that we pulled off a nice day for her, after all.

i am still dealing with mood swings, but they have gotten better..i am not having them nearly as often as i used to, and i am controlling myself better. Still, there are somdays when my bi polar crap just kicks my ass. i feel bad for Master when this happens. i have only been punished once for my outbursts. It was the worst ever - so humilitating, and i vowed to never misbehave to that extent again. of course, its eaisier said then done.

Our M/s relationship has been pretty blah the past few weeks. i have had very little expected of me, and Master has had too much on His mind to bother with me....He says that things will change, and He will make more time for me, for us.

i hope so. i feel like i am walking on air when i please Him. How could i not? i feel useful, and wanted, and so gloriously used when i am serving Him. Our oldest daughter has finished school and is job hunting, so we really have very little time alone. Summer will soon be here, and we will have even less time....Plus, Master is normally insanely busy during the summer.  i know that i am being selfish, but i soo want HIm all to myself!

Your Score: Romeo & Juliet

You scored 46% = Tragic, 26% = Comic, 36% = Romantic, 33% = Historic

You are the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Perhaps one of Shakespeare's most memorable works, Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two star-crossed lovers of warring families and their untimely deaths in each other's arms. What your score tells us about you is that you are most likely a romantic person who is willing to go to extremes for the ones you love. For this, your family and friends love and respect you (even if they may tease you from time to time). While you may be a bit of a fickle-heart, you are also a spontaneous and adventurous person with a big heart and a lot of love to give. We certainly love you, and we're sure that a lot of other people do too!

Eddie Izzard rawks!
A howling good time at the Palace theatre tonight. [info]leafybird and [info]verybigjen joined me for 2 hours of Eddie Izzard extravaganza. Had v. good seating in the Loge section. Bev brought "Cake or Death" signs that our surrounding seatmates thought were very funny.
Started off with jokes about Christopher Columbus and  how did he get here by boat, and we do pretty much roll up the sidewalks about 6:30 when all the gummint, insurance, and bank workers migrate home to the 'burbs.
He bounced from topic to topic in his performance - language, religion, politics, iPhones, wikipedia, mac vs. pc, history. It's difficult to describe how funny some of the segments were. There were many of those "you had to be there" moments.

Split day
So today was in many ways a day of opposites...

It started off delightful - I took the morning off from work and got to sleep in a tiny bit (just 15 minutes, but hey, that's better than a poke in the eye) before heading downtown to the Henry Vilas Zoo. Madison is blessed to have a really very fine free local zoo and I was meeting [info]ego_id_non_feci's monsters there to be a science guide to the animals and talk to them about frogs.

On the way, I realized that I was running early so I stopped at Lane's Bakery, quite possibly the best bakery in Madison, and got an entirely gratuitous donut. Usually I feel guilty about such sugary indulgences and they would not be blogworthy, but this was a chocolate donut with chocolate frosting and whipped white icing filling - all fresh and scrumptious. Nom nom nom. I firmly maintain that it was so good it must have been calorie-free. Do not argue with me.

I got to the zoo in plenty of time but the monsters were late because of bus related issues. This meant that I had some time to wander about on my own in the sunshine, which was really pleasant, as the day was just a tiny tad more cool and windy that I would like, but only just. Eventually, I snuck up on the class wearing the hood part of my froggie costume from a Halloween years ago (remember that [info]catdfox?). The kids shrieked and then giggled when they figured out who I was. We wandered around for a bit looking at animals and when we got to the herpetarium, I told the kidlets some interesting things about frogs and then gave them each a froggie to take home (and gave [info]ego_id_non_feci some spares for the inevitable case of lost frog - the first of which developed before we got to the next exhibit. :P).

It's funny but my sad bit of Spanish is noticeably better just after these few interactions with the munchkins. I was able to understand even one of the littlest mumbliest ones when she was upset by the snakes. Kinda cool what stays tucked in the dusty corners of your brain... I've also realized what a pathological counter I am. (Check: she has 2-4-6, she has 1-2-3, she has 2-4, she has 2-4-6... 5 minutes later:Check:...) I was terrified of loosing one and they're not even my monsters!

Then there were more animals (but sadly no carousel) and chocolate milk with sammies for lunch. We had a little time to spare, so we all went down to the playground and ran around like maniacs. I bonked my head trying to squash my average-to-tallish woman-self down a kiddie slide (still worth it) but [info]ego_id_non_feci had to outdo me and give herself a concussion doing the same thing three minutes later! Getting the kids back into the bus at the end of playtime was something of a tragedy too, but they all got there safely and then I said  my goodbyes.

A tragedy. Yup. That's the best I can say for the rest of the day. The rest is sort of inarticulate snarls and four letter words about CMS, formularies, Nurse Practitioners who can't/won't read and weather that went all cloudy and cold. The proposed trip up to the Resort was scrapped for several reasons and I have had zero-zip-zilch motivation since my oh-so-healthy dinner of nachos. (OK, so cheese on chips, but that's really what I was capable of at that point.) I'm thinking Daily Show, then a shower, and then it will be time to relive the better parts of my day in dreams filled with blue skies, fresh green grass and sweaty little monsters.

Insert your own joke here
I was watching the MSNBC coverage of the WV primary results when the broke in with the report that Travis Childers had won the had won the Congressional special election in Mississippi. This was big news as it had been a firmly Republican seat (in 2004 it votes over 60% for W).

MSNBC had Mike Huckabee on, as part of the primary coverage, and of course went to him for a comment on the Childers win. A portion of his response is below (I transcribed it myself so any errors are mine)

Look, lets be realistic. We can spin it any way we want to, but that is not a good sign. That Mississippi race was a critical one. It's one the Republicans should have one. Uh, I in fact went there and campaigned for the candidate, it looked like that we had a real shot at that. And I think that it, uh, really does indicate that the Republican brand is badly damaged. John McCain can't run the Republican brand. He's got to run a different approach. If he just says 'I'm the Republican candidate,' I don't think it's a very good year. Uh, ya know, but people ultimately don't buy the brand they buy the cereal. They're not buying Kellog's they're buying Frosted Flakes. So what we've gotta be able to do is show there are individuals out there that are worth supporting and worth electing, but they can't go out there and ride the elephant down main street cause if they do the elephants gonna get shot out from under em.

Did Mike Huckabee just compare John McCain to Frosted Flakes?

Since my Mother's Day dinner consisted of Wendy's takeout, I've decided to treat myself to something yummy tonight.

Scallops sent home from Dad's place on the Gulf (these would be scallops he went out and caught with his own hands) sauteed in butter (not margarine) and garlic, with a dash of salt.

Delicious.

I was driving home with the kids this evening when we saw a pick up truck with a bumper sticker that I truly loved. It was a red sticker (on a red truck) and it said “If this sticker turns blue then you are driving too fast”. I laughed and then had to explain it to the kids.

- Did some de-cluttering around the house

And since I ouchied my middle right finger pretty bad (no clue how, have a doctor's appointment in the morning), I have done that all almost entirely left handed (my slightly less dominant hand).

Electric Ant Farm

Electric Ant Farm, originally uploaded by Wally Hartshorn.

Look what decided to take up residence in one of our electrical outlets. Nice, huh? I'm reminded of some 1950s horror movie or something. Or maybe just "Arachnophobia".

Every year, when the weather warms up, our house gets invaded by tiny ants. Why? Well, probably the fact that our house has more holes than a cheese grater might have something to do with it. It has mine subsidence damage, so nothing is square and in numerous places little gaps have opened up.

If I were more conscientious, I'd go around with a caulking gun and fill in those gaps, but I don't have time to do that because I'm too busy complaining about them and posting pictures of ants.

Shakespeare Meme
Oddly enough, I'd just been thinking along Shakespearean lines when I saw this meme start to go around. And while we're on the subject, I forgot to mention it at the time (a few weeks ago), but the Bard just celebrated his 444th birthday!

Your Score: Hamlet

You scored 56% = Tragic, 30% = Comic, 25% = Romantic, 29% = Historic

You are The Tragedy of Hamlet. Highly regarded as the best play ever written by anyone ever, Hamlet tells the story of Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, and his desire to enact revenge on his Uncle for the murder of his father. When performed in its entirety, Hamlet is just under 4 hours long and contains many of the most recognizable phrases in the English language. But enough of that - let's get back to you. Your results tell us that you are no doubt of high intelligence and cultural grace. While sometimes a bit dark and moody, you still have the poise and respect of a royal noble. Your tragic flaw, however may be that you tend to over-analyze situations and think too much when you should act. You also may be a bit long-winded, but we like you anyway!

TFW???
I was just watching television and, in a promo for Prince Caspian, there was a lip-lock going on.

TFW!?!?!?

I have read those books over and over and over throughout my life and NEVER do I recall having ever read about any kind of a kiss. Caspian is also way too old in this film. Caspian is supposed to be a kid...he isn't a kissing-age kind of guy until the NEXT book.

*sigh*

Why does Hollywood do this to treasured childhood fantasy books? Why? Why? Why??!?!?

Tuesday evening: Lassie and a canteloupe . . .
1. That's right. I am melancholy.

2. I feel a little guilty, because life has been so busy and I have not been very good at staying in touch with people. If you need me, holler.

It's not so much the reign. That's fairly well under control right now. It's work, life, etc. I did get two bylines in two days at the local paper, and I led the sports section this morning.

Baseball and rowing stories from the Glens Falls Post-Star.

3. So my sister managed to get a quick game of "Guess who's dead?" in when I called her to get my mother for the annual Mother's Day call.

Wilbur L. Doctor, who had a profound influence on my life and on hundreds of journalists in Connecticut and Rhode Island, died back in March, on his 91st birthday. I will always regret that I never tracked him down to thank him, but then I don't call my mother enough, either.

I will probably post more about Wilbur later, but what digs at me a little is that I am no longer in touch with anyone who knew him, other than artisticphoenix who pretty much knew of him though my moaning about him. "Eh, Toscano. Is English your first language."

4. I just won at the Intertubes. Alethea wanted to find out the hours of the Smith College library during the summer. Then I asked about the book, which was "some book on costuming in Italian with the word d'oro in it."

I found it!

5. I have been so busy lately, I have lost track of the Red Sox. Horrors.

6. I love Triple A. I went to their website, and we know how maps that cover the entire kingdom, plus parts of Ealdormere and Aethelmearc.

So due to a happy accident on Friday, compounded again on Sunday, I have greatly increased my Geek Quotient.  I admit it, I'm now a rampant fan of Doctor Who.  Never got into it before, but the episode I caught was crazy funny and I loved it.  Already ordered the first three seasons from Amazon.

I will admit, though, that I've been watching the new series with the 10th doctor.  I've not gotten into the "classic" series yet.  We'll see.

What's New, Pussycat?
Kitty and I chatted in the bar and both us us slowly unwound from our day. I paid the tab and we went to my studio.

While she was in the bathroom I turned down the lights in the studio, lit the candles, put on music and changed into a black and red buckled PVC corset and laced miniskirt, fishnet stockings and high heels.

She knocked at the door and I was waiting for her in the candle-lit dark.

kitty had brought a nice bottle of red wine to share. Unfortunately I didn't have a corkscrew so we split the bottle of white viognier that was in my fridge. I kissed kitty then sat in a chair and placed a pillow on the floor for her to sit at my feet.

As she sat I smoothed and stroked her hair against my knees, combing it with my fingers. We talked, she asked questions about my personal life and DC and I asked her to tell me more about herself. It was enormously calming to have her leaning against me, to be able to move my fingers through her hair, touch her face and shoulders.

We kissed again, and soon her clothes were off. I fastened my leopard-print collar around her neck, placed cuffs on her wrists and ankles and had her stand upright in a corner, between the two wall bolts.

She was not blindfolded. I wanted her to be able to see me. She stood still while I roped her cuffed wrists to the wall bolts. She looked yummy spread out, and I kissed her again, stroking her smooth skin, pinching and pulling lightly on her nipples.

I fastened a purple ball gag around her head. She whimpered a little as I teased her lips with my tongue. She watched me as I grabbed another coil of rope. I made a crotch harness with it so that kitty's labia were spread, exposing her clit.

After I did that I licked her pussy, her clit, hearing her moan and watched her legs jerk. I patted her thighs to make sure she was standing legs wide apart before I began to tap her all over with my crop.

Tap tap tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Her ass, her cunt, her breasts, Stroke with the leather, tap. Tease. Tease. Ramping up to smart short whacks with the crop. I worked her upper back, ass, thighs and calves then moved to her front, paying special wicked attention to her nipples and clit. I rewarded her with kisses, sucks and long licks before picking up the hitachi from my hiding place.

It was already plugged in with the G-spot attachment. I teased her with it, pressing it against her clit before putting the crop down. I put a latex glove on my right hand and continued to lick and tease her clit, yanking the rope for fun, teasing her cunt with my fingers and then I slid the attachment into her.

It buzzed away merrily inside her. I watched as she came, wet, whimpering behind her ball gag.

I took her gag out, kissed her hard. Loosened my corset and offered my nipples to her to suck on. Took my flogger out and worked her up with that until I was hitting her nipples rather nastily, including her cunt and ass.

At some point after that I took my corset off so I was flogging her topless, wearing only my miniskirt, stockings and heels. It was getting warm inside the studio and I was breaking a light sweat as I flogged her, attaching clothespins to her shoulders for fun.

I was having fun. She was being good and I'd been flogging her with a little gusto for awhile so I knelt down again between her legs and played with her pussy, sliding my fingers inside her, pumping ever so slightly as I also used the blunt edge of the buzzing wand against her clit at the same time.

She was moaning and very juicy. I put the flogger handle into her mouth, between her teeth to bite.

"Don't let go," I said. I pressed harder against her, my fingers inside and when she was allowed to cum she squirted, almost yelling as she drenched my hand.

Such a good girl. It was killing me that I was on my period. After I took her down she asked what she could do for me, and I told her I'd like a back massage.

Put a blanket on the floor and I laid down for her to work on me. Lucky for me she's had some training in this, so I got a blissfully deep massage as we talked and then cuddled.

It was late, going on 11:30. I felt relaxed, tired and very thankful to have had kitty for the evening. We changed clothes and left the building together.
